Working with Revive A House and their team on our recent renovation project was a wonderful experience.

They are approachable and full of great ideas. Communication was timely and effective, they were quick to respond and were great communicators. This was most evident when things did not go as planned, they were quick to come up with a solution that fit our style and our budget. We loved their design style but what stood out to us was the quality of workmanship form their team. Great attention to detail was evident throughout our new space. The trades were incredibly well coordinated (even in the middle of COVID). You could count on them and their trades to deliver as promised. They were considerate of our budgetary limitations and were mindful throughout the process of staying within what we had set out as a budget, at times having to come up with creative solutions as needed.

We are thrilled with the finished product and would not hesitate to use them on future projects or recommend them to friends and family.

We were referred to Murray and Pat at Revive A House from a number of mutual friends who spoke very highly of their experience in working with them.  As a result of the positive referrals, we arranged a meeting to discuss the renovation of our main floor, which was our most extensive home reno we have undertaken to date.  The process began with Pat and Murray coming to our home to review the spaces to be renovated and to understand how we wanted the space to function for our family and to listen to our ideas for the various spaces.   Afterwards, we were provided with computer assisted design options and a detailed budget for the project.  The initial meetings allowed us to get to know Murray and Pat and to feel comfortable and confident that Revive A House had the expertise and experience to complete our renovation to the high expectations we had set out. 

We have worked an interior designer over the years and we wanted to have her work on this project too. Murray worked extremely well with our designer and his communication was excellent throughout the entire project, keeping us informed of the progress,  any issues that required our input, and to anything that impacted our budget.  Everything that one expects when undertaking a renovation was met and exceeded.   Pat and Murray provided excellent customer service, they were responsive and prompt. The quality of the workmanship provided by Revive A House and their entire team was excellent and the project was completed on time and within our budget.  We could not be happier with the end result of our renovation!  It has transformed how we live in our house and we are looking forward to enjoying it for years to come.  We would recommend Revive A House without hesitation and would welcome the opportunity to work with them again in the future.

Working with Revive A House was a pleasure right from the beginning and we are so pleased with the end result.  One of the things that we appreciated the most was their understanding of our budget and their willingness to give advice on how to stay within it.  Making suggestions of which options were most important or most valuable to the house.  When we got nervous about a decision, Pat went above and beyond to give us realistic computerized renderings of what it would look like to ease our minds.  They were also able to line up the sub trades so the work was completed in a timely fashion even through COVID shut downs.

We have used Murray and Revive a House on two extensive renovation projects. 

Murray has deep knowledge on how houses are built and can be modified from the structure on up. He successfully combined two rooms to make our new kitchen, removing supporting walls and installing hidden support beams – providing options that we did not even know were possible. The end result is stunning!

Above all else we find that Murray’s calm and even manner has kept our projects going despite the long string of surprises that any renovation project faces.

We hired Revive-A-House Inc. to renovate the main level of our 30 year old, 4 level backsplit home. Revive-A-House Inc. is the complete package. Pat does the design/layout while Murray makes that design/layout a reality! Together with their expertise, knowledge and guidance they were able to transform our existing eat in kitchen, dining room and living into a modern, open concept eat in kitchen with an island, pantry, powder room, desk and sitting room without adding an inch of extra space!  Not an easy feat. 

Pat was creative, had a vision and was extremely helpful to ensure the colour scheme and overall appearance transitioned well with the remaining house. While we had a mess going anyway, we also had them install pot lights and redo the existing fireplace by changing it to a natural stone veneer and adding a beam in our family room.

This was not our first extensive renovation that we’ve completed to our home in the 13 years of ownership.  However, it was the first renovation we had Revive-A-House Inc. complete. We appreciated that Murray and his team were neat and tidy. While you’re living in chaos, they took extra time to clean up at the end of each and every day to create some semblance of order during the construction zone to minimize the dust throughout the rest of the house. Furthermore, Murray was upfront and advised us that it would take 8 weeks from start to finish. 

Murray completed the project within the stated timeline by ensuring that there was minimal downtime by organizing and scheduling the other professional trades accordingly.  We used the trades that Murray had recommended being Derek Shantz of Homestead Woodworking Inc. whom designed the cabinetry for the kitchen/island/pantry, fireplace beam, banister and railings; Randy Weber of R-W Electric Ltd. whom did all the electrical; and, Doug Frey of Frey’s Plumbing Works whom did all the plumbing.  We were extremely pleased with all their professional workmanship and team.  Murray further suggested that we purchase our flooring and backsplash from Brodercht’s Flooring Canada, stone for the fireplace from Stone Landscapes Inc. and granite countertops from Stonex Granite and Quartz which finalized the look.

We’ve received nothing but positive comments on the overall transformation of our main floor renovation.  Revive-A-House Inc. exceeded all our expectations and we look forward to continue working with them on our next project.

Pat and Murray were exceptionally helpful in this total bathroom overhaul. They provided assistance with design choices and completed the work quickly while we were away on vacation! We’re so pleased with the final result.
